It all started with a win—doesn’t it always? RAD Torque Systems isn’t just a brand that dabbles in drag racing for fun; it’s embedded in the DNA of the company and the people who drive it forward. From its owner, Dan Provost and Partner Tammy Lynn being fierce competitors themselves, to sponsoring race teams across continents, RAD Torque Systems lives and breathes the roar of engines and the pursuit of championship glory.

A Racing Pedigree Like No Other
Dan Provost, hailing from Abbotsford, BC, isn’t your run-of-the-mill businessman. He’s a guy with grease under his nails and a competitive streak a mile wide. With a foot planted firmly in the drag racing world, it’s no surprise that RAD Torque Systems has become a powerhouse supporter of multi-generational, multi-genre racing endeavors. The roster of RAD-backed racers and events reads like a who’s who of the drag racing elite, including NHRA Pro Stock Champion Dallas Glenn and the high-stakes Fling Series. If there’s speed to be had and championships to be won, chances are RAD Torque Systems has its name splashed on a car somewhere in the fray.
Trackside Beginnings: The Provost and Reeves Connection

The Provost-Reeves relationship is proof that sometimes life really is a drag—drag racing, that is. This tale goes way back, even further than any of us realized. Dan and his son, Darien, were fixtures at the Edmonton Motorsport facility, where they crossed paths with the Reeves family. As kids, Chevy Reeves and Darien Provost were the kind of “track brats” who lived to stir up some good-natured chaos. From Junior Dragster rivalries to Top Dragster dreams, the two grew up together, sharing a bond forged in the fires of competition.
Fast forward a few years, and Darien may have stepped back from regular competition to focus on learning the family torque business, but his support for Chevy has never wavered. The friendship that began with two mischievous kids has only grown stronger over the years.
The Summer Classic Spark
The partnership between RAD Torque Systems and the Reeves family took a pivotal turn in 2021 at the T&T Summer Classic in Medicine Hat. With encouragement from friend and fellow racer Travis Ringguth, Chevy headed to the event, unaware that a life-changing conversation awaited him. Between rounds, Chevy and Dan struck up a chat about sponsorships. True to his competitive nature, Dan quipped, “I typically only sponsor big-check and Wally winners.” Challenge accepted.

Chevy seized the opportunity and, as fate would have it, went on to win the ‘big check’ that very weekend. Dan was so impressed with Chevy’s positive attitude and professional approach to racing that he declared, “I want to get my name on your car.” And just like that, a partnership—and a friendship—was born.
More Than Just a Sticker on a Car
It didn’t take long for the RAD Torque Systems brand to find its way onto Chevy’s La Flama Blanca Top Dragster. Within weeks, the hand-painted RAD logo became a mainstay on Chevy’s car, symbolizing not just a sponsorship, but a shared passion for excellence and performance. It wasn’t just business—it was personal.
The friendship between the Provosts and the Reeves blossomed beyond the track. Parents were introduced, and before long, the two families were sharing not only pit spaces but also vacations. From sipping wine in Napa Valley to golfing in Mexico, and even enduring Disneyland (thanks, Kim!), the bond grew stronger with each shared experience.

A Bold New Era: RAD Torque Raceway
Dan’s growing involvement with the Edmonton Motorsport facility led to a significant milestone: the renaming of the facility to RAD Torque Raceway. Opening the 2023 race season under its new moniker, the track became a testament to the Provost-Reeves partnership and their shared vision for the future of motorsports.
Though the Reeves family has since sold the track, the friendship endures. Dan and Tammy’s unwavering support for Chevy’s racing career goes far beyond financial backing. They’ve welcomed him into their world, providing a home away from home during international events, introducing him to new competitors and friends, and continuing to be a source of inspiration and encouragement.
The Next Chapter: No Prep Adventures

When Chevy decided to take on the No Prep racing world, Dan was initially hesitant. But once he laid eyes on the Reeves family’s meticulously prepared 1970 Chevelle, affectionately known as the YETI, any reservations were quickly forgotten. The Provost-Reeves partnership entered a new chapter, with RAD Torque Systems proudly backing Chevy’s latest endeavor.
This summer, Helluvachevy and the YETI will be tearing up the Speed Promotions OUTLAW series with hometown advantage at “RAD Torque Raceway” in Edmonton, as well as in Mission, BC, not far from RAD Torque Systems’ headquarters. The RAD crew will be there in full force, cheering on their driver and celebrating a partnership that’s as much about friendship as it is about performance.
A Bond Forged in Speed
At its core, the Provost-Reeves partnership is about more than just racing—it’s about shared passions, mutual respect, and a commitment to living life at full throttle. Whether on the track, at the golf course, or around a dinner table with a bottle of red, the bond between these two families is a reminder that in racing, as in life, the journey is as important as the destination.

So here’s to RAD Torque Systems, the Reeves family, and the incredible journey they’ve shared so far. The next chapter promises to be just as exciting, whether it’s on the Outlaws Series trail or the greens of Mexico. One thing’s for sure: when these two teams come together, the results are always worth celebrating.
